- ... that Phil Elverum recorded Don't Wake Me Up nocturnally, while "drinking pots of black tea all night"? Source: https://imposemagazine.com/features/spook-houses-guide-to-the-microphones-reissues-phil-elverum-interview
- Reviewed: This is my fifth DYK nom so not required. I did it for my other ones, but felt lazy this time :)
5x expanded by PerfectSoundWhatever (talk). Self-nominated at 04:08, 11 July 2022 (UTC).
- Prose portion expanded enough; 5x since 11 July.
- Long enough, at 5729 characters.
- Within policy, neutral, has inline citations and has no close paraphrasing issues, copyright violations and plagiarism.
- I like the hook, but it's customary (but not required) that you offer more than one hook. The one you have here is fine; it's interesting and humorous.
- No image. One suggestion, though, regarding the image currently in the article: how about either replacing it with the more interesting one of Elverum? Then you could submit this DYK nom with it.
Thanks for making this review so easy. You're good to go. Christine (Figureskatingfan) (talk) 17:21, 20 July 2022 (UTC)
- @Figureskatingfan: Thank you for the review! The earliest picture I could find of Elverum on commons was from about 2004; it feels disingenuous to add that to the article when he made the album 5 years prior, (he wouldn't even be using the name the Microphones then) but here's the image anyways: File:Elverum1.jpg. I think I won't add another ALT hook since all the ones I can think of are less interesting than the main one. :) — PerfectSoundWhatever (t; c) 22:30, 20 July 2022 (UTC)
- Hey, @PerfectSoundWhatever: that's fine; just a question, which you answered satisfactory. Keep the picture and keep the hook; I'm good with both. Like I said, you're good to go! Christine (Figureskatingfan) (talk) 03:42, 21 July 2022 (UTC)

📝 "Don't get complacent..." 09:48, 27 July 2022 (UTC)- @PerfectSoundWhatever, trying this ping again. I don't know what's happening with Wikipedia on my end but I tried this two times and the ping didn't go through 😭😭 Your Power 🐍 💬 "What did I tell you?"
📝 "Don't get complacent..." 10:48, 5 August 2022 (UTC)- @Your Power: Haha that's odd. Don't worry about it too much though, I have this page on my watchlist and check it frequently — PerfectSoundWhatever (t; c) 15:39, 5 August 2022 (UTC)
- @PerfectSoundWhatever Hello! I've done a readthrough of the prose, and to close it off, I made some necessary copyedits etc. Here's a diff so you can review the changes and tweak/revert when necessary. There are no more outstanding issues with sourcing, and I feel that the prose is already up to GA quality. I will be passing soon, but please tell me if the final copyedits are good to go before I do so Your Power 🐍 💬 "What did I tell you?"
📝 "Don't get complacent..." 07:51, 7 August 2022 (UTC)- @Your Power: Thank you! All the copyedits look good, just some minor stuff I corrected:
- [1] the source doesn't explicitly say they were impressed, just noting that it exists. I used a wordier, but more accurate, "described".
- [2] I think this is just a subjective thing but I would much rather have every statement cited. It's more clear, because a editor doing a cursory look won't be able to tell if the one reference is for the whole paragraph, or just one sentence, and the rest need {{cn}}'s. (also WP:CITEVAR sorta applies here) — PerfectSoundWhatever (t; c) 17:47, 7 August 2022 (UTC)
- Alright then! Thank you for letting me know. With that out of the way, this is a ✓ Pass from me Your Power 🐍 💬 "What did I tell you?"
