Requested move 3 June 2015
[edit]- The following is a closed discussion of the proposal. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the proposal was effectively withdrawn by nominator; see new RM. --BDD (talk) 17:14, 18 June 2015 (UTC)
Diavolo Dance Theater → Diavolo: Architecture in Motion – the dance company recently went under a slight name change after having been around for a few years. The new name is a little bit more telling of what the company does and their goals. For this reason, I'd like to change the title of the Wikipedia article by moving the page. --Relisted. - Oppose per WP:SUBTITLE/WP:COMMONNAME. Move instead to Diavolo. It currently redirects to a manga character, so hatnote to Vento Aureo. --BDD (talk) 20:33, 10 June 2015 (UTC)

Diavolo Dance Theater → Diavolo – the dance company recently went under a slight name change after having been around for a few years. The new name is a simpler and more streamline title that the company agreed upon. For this reason, I'd like to change the title of the Wikipedia article by moving the page. --Relisted. - Strong Oppose target is currently not about this theater, it is a different topic. And there are other topics "Diavolo" on Wikipedia, so the target should be a disambiguation page. -- 70.51.203.69 (talk) 03:44, 25 June 2015 (UTC)
- The hatnote formerly located at "Diavolo" [1] indicated Fra Diavolo, the fictional character currently located at Diavolo (Diavolo (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure)), there fictional character Nikolai Diavolo, the tarot card from Tarocco Piemontese, the film il diavolo, wikt:diavolo -- 70.51.203.69 (talk) 03:44, 25 June 2015 (UTC)
- Strong oppose. The word "diavolo" is Italian for "devil", and as such is used in many different contexts (I was directed here from the talk page of Tarocco Piemontese, an article about a playing-card deck in which one of the cards is called "il diavolo"). It would be absurd to allow a dance company, or a manga character, or indeed a playing-card, to hijack a common word. Maproom (talk) 07:47, 25 June 2015 (UTC)
- Oppose, per all above. FoCuSandLeArN (talk) 21:10, 25 June 2015 (UTC)
- Oppose Diavolo should remain a dab In ictu oculi (talk) 04:34, 26 June 2015 (UTC)

Diavolo Dance Theater → DIAVOLO – the dance company recently went under a slight name change after having been around for a few years. The new name is a simpler and more streamline title that the company agreed upon. For this reason, I'd like to change the title of the Wikipedia article by moving the page. Winterville612 (talk) 20:17, 5 August 2015 (UTC)
- Oppose. The company calls itself "Diavolo", not "DIAVOLO", on its own web site and on Youtube. A proposed move to "Diavolo" was rejected only a month ago. Maproom (talk) 21:22, 5 August 2015 (UTC)
- Oppose, and MOS:ALLCAPS / MOS:TM discourages the all-caps practice. Suggesting speedy close, as this has no chance of consensus. —BarrelProof (talk) 22:47, 5 August 2015 (UTC)
- Oppose MOS:CAPS/MOS:TM -- not an acronym ; also "Diavolo" failed in the last move request in June, so the case-appropriate form is also not possible -- 67.70.32.190 (talk) 04:05, 6 August 2015 (UTC)
- Comment we can do Diavolo (dance company) -- 67.70.32.190 (talk) 04:06, 6 August 2015 (UTC)
- Oppose the use of unnecessary abbreviations and capitals instead of a clear and easy-to-understand full name. Glen Spearleat (talk) 17:15, 8 August 2015 (UTC).
