Steam Workshop

[edit]

The page says "Thus, unlike Steam, Desura highlights content distribution for mods as one of its features, although this is not yet available for the Linux client." - however, Steam introduced Steam workshop since, so this sentence is kinda outdated. Maybe someone should re-phrase it? Faalagorn/ 00:43, 4 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Pronunciation

[edit]

¿cómo se pronuncia desura? 190.51.156.204 (talk) 00:24, 10 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Scott Reismanis says from an interview:
"Three syllables each with a consonant and a vowel is how I pronounce it. So De-Su-Ra. Then again if I say it in a sentence I pronounce it Des-Ura."
From the text, it seems that the stress is on the second syllable. I think it's pronounced similar to how it would be pronounced in Spanish, except with an alveolar approximant sound (without a trill) for 'r', and a schwa for the 'a', but we need a voice recording or IPA representation to be sure. - M0rphzone (talk) 01:16, 2 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Current owner

[edit]

Maybe someone should include something about the current owner, Linden Lab. I'd do it myself, but i have no way of referencing it. RocketMaster (talk) 15:26, 30 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Steal all contents?

[edit]

On the bottom of the page, it says:

After acquiring Desura, Linden Lab changed their Terms of Service to include the wording that they have future rights to use, adapt, and effectively steal all content from their virtual citizens. Speculation exists as to whether the acquisition of Desura is tied to this change in TOS.

The term "Steal" is subjective and not stated explicitly in the Linden Lap TOS. This should be changed.

- Yeah, that seemed iffy to me too. I scalpeled the word and rephrased the sentence Spaig (talk) 21:58, 25 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
