"the camp experience"

Utitz survived the camp experience - This seems an odd phrasing, considering that it was a concentration camp. "The camp experience" sounds more like a Boy Scouts summer camp. I"ve deleted "experience." Omc (talk) 03:31, 19 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Der Trommler – Drummer, not Drummer Girl

"Der" is the male article in German, a female character would have been named "Die Trommlerin" or "Das Trommlermädchen". OrestesLebt (talk) 12:31, 16 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • 1977 London Sinfonietta (studio performance only?)
  • June 1979 - Dutch National Opera/Nottingham
  • May 1981 "British premiere" - Morley College (amateur performance, I suppose)
  • July 1988 "1st professional production" - Mecklenburgh Opera/Donmar

The Emperor's name Kaiser Overall is deliberately foreign in the orignial German libretto, and is given as Emperor Überall in the Englisch libretto published by Schott in 1994. (ISBN 979-0-001-08390-4) The roles and voice types are listed there as follows:
