Word of caution
[edit]- You (without explanation) reverted a revert (that at least tried to explain the revert), instead of discussing your concern on Talk Page. This appears to go against WP:BRD, and leans toward WP:EDITWAR. Why don't you undo your own revert, and try to reach a WP:CONS, and if you feel it's not getting forward, use neutral tools like WP:3O or WP:RFC?
- Deportation is a loaded word carrying of point of view which is not obvious even from the publications it is referring to, not to mention that selection of the sources is questionable. The lede starting with "Deportations is a ... and ending "a resettlement" makes little sense, may I ask why use the word "deportation" (apart from reading it in Azerbaijani sources) and why something describing a resettlement is not simply called resettlement? E.g.
The resettlement of the Azerbaijani population of the Armenian SSR (called in Azerbaijan: Azərbaycanlıların Ermənistandan deportasiyası və köçürülməsi) in 1947-1950 was carried out in accordance with the Decree of the Council of Ministers of the USSR No. 4083 dated with 23 December 1947.

- Armatura, 1. I discussed this issue in the article Deportation of Azerbaijanis from Armenia and edited it after reaching an agreement. You can read discussion on the article's talkpage.
2. This word was used before me. This is the name in the context of the Soviet Union. You can see: About what deportation is - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deportation#Deportation_in_the_Soviet_Union. All resettlement in the Soviet Union is called deportation: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Population_transfer_in_the_Soviet_Union--Qızılbaş (talk) 13:43, 26 September 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks, Qızılbaş. I was not aware of your discussion on another page but it's still a good practice to leave a summary of change - that makes it clear for all editors why the change was made. As for the word, the decree itself says "resettle" (переселить), it looks like most of the sources use that word. Hence I think resettlement if should be, for NPOV. - @Armatura I see that the discussion wasn't over as @Kevo327 yet has to reply to the latest message there. Should be merged and redirected again until consensus is reached. A subsection in the original article with dates is the way to go as there is no need for a standalone article which is already present in wiki in a greater detail. - Armatura, Thank you for your feedback. I will consider other similar articles in the Soviet Union and make a decision accordingly.
Reference issues
[edit]The references I have checked were in a very bad form, I suspect the parent article also has similar issues, which i will look into. That being said I don't know if having a separate article is still the right way to do this. - Kevo327 (talk) 14:04, 28 January 2022 (UTC)
