- "Originating as an area of low pressure on 22 February well to the northeast of the Kimberley region" - northeast or northwest? The track map looks northwest of Western Australia
- "steadily developed within a favourable environment. Steadily decreasing" - more word variety?
- " a monsoon trough combined with the Madden-Julian Oscillation" - did they really combine though? Doesn't the MJO more enhance a trough than combine to produce a storm? I might be wrong though.
- Great bit about the record high water temperatures fueling the storm. Nothing to do here, just good job.
- You should specify what a "severe tropical cyclone" is. I had to look through TC scales a bit to realize it meant a C3 on the Australian scale.
- "Shortly thereafter, land interaction incited weakening as Rusty began drifting south-southeast as the ridge over Australia began to rebuild." - could be cleaner
- "A local race was cancelled due to the storm in Esperance." - this seems borderline trivial
- "1.4 million megalitres" - I'm not sure what a megalitre is. Given you're already using million here, why not just use billion or whatever and just use ordinary litres?
- " Melbourne was expected to have a record stretch of 30 °C (86 °F) or higher temperatures as the air mass moved east" - did it?
All in all a good read! ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 03:46, 11 August 2015 (UTC)
