• When does BoM's BT consider Peter to have formed? Was it really when they issued the first advisory? No change post-analysis? What did BoM officially call it? Also, specify UTC time for first JTWC point

Then how were the winds estimated?

• There could be a bit more about how the storm caused the highest rainfall. Check for meteorological journals for Mount Bellenden Ker, whether orographical processes caused such a high rainfall total.

• "Many creeks and rivers, such as the Herbert, north and south Johnstone" - it actually took me looking at the edit window to get what this meant. You should say something like "the north and south branches of the Johnstone" or something. The way it's written makes Johnstone look like a town

One major thing to pick up on, there should be no mention of the JTWC warning on Peter in this article since they did not warn on any tropical cyclones in the Southern Hemisphere in 1979. Also i have an objection to using this to say that Peter dropped 2,517 millimetres (99.1 in) of rain at Mount Bellenden Ker, when its not attributed to Peter on that page. The BoM also note that its only 1140 mm. That being said i think some further investigation of this rainfall record is required to make sure its valid since Peter had "dissipated" during January 2.Jason Rees (talk) 14:16, 23 January 2016 (UTC)

I would also have a dig through Trove itself to find several newspaper articles about Peter including one on Emergency food-drops to people stranded by floods.Jason Rees (talk) 15:26, 23 January 2016 (UTC)
