Hello Hurricanehink, I will be reviewing this article tonight. There are some issues I feel should be addressed before I pass this article and list it as a Good Article, such as the following:

  • I think it may be better to mention that Socotra is a possession of Yemen in the opening sentence, rather than later in the first paragraph. So maybe something like this? "worst tropical cyclone to ever strike the island of Socotra," --> "worst tropical cyclone to ever strike the Yemeni island of Socotra," If that change is made, make sure to wikilink Yemen
  • "and fueled by warm water temperatures it quickly intensified." - Wikilink sea surface temperature and I'm thinking there should be a comma be "it"
  • "Joint Typhoon Warning Center estimated 1 minute winds of 1 minute winds of 205 km/h (125 mph)." - "1 minute winds" was so important that you had to say it twice? :P
  • "Megh passed 57 km (36 mi) north of Cape Guardafui" - Don't you usually lecture me about stuff like this? :P
  • Hey, I usually harp on you when you say "about 57 km". In this case, the JTWC was unusually accurate, saying "31 NM NORTH OF CAPE GUARDAFUI, SOMALIA". Since they didn't round to the nearest 5 (like they usually do), I didn't either. It's all about rounding and significant digits. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 17:07, 11 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • "nets damaged by Chapala and Megh.[24] Megh left about 80% of the roads on Socotra" - I'm not sure if a sentence should be started with the word that ended the previous sentence. Maybe go with "The latter left about 80% of the roads on Socotra"?

So that's about it. Fix that stuff and I will pass this article. Good luck in the second round of the WikiCup, --12george1 (talk) 04:41, 7 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! Hope you like it now. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 17:07, 11 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Everything looks good now. These issues have either been fixed or addressed in an acceptable way. Therefore, I will now pass this article and list it as a Good Article. Nice work.--12george1 (talk) 03:17, 13 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
