Criticism of Facebook → Criticism of Meta – Facebook as a company have changed their name to "Meta" hence I propose that this article be renamed to reflect that. Slender (talk) 09:21, 25 November 2021 (UTC)
- Oppose I doubt many people would know that there is a company called "Facebook/Meta and most people will just think of the website which is still "Facebook" so I think overall "Facebook" is the WP:COMMONNAME if this deals with both the company and website. Crouch, Swale (talk) 12:35, 25 November 2021 (UTC)
- Oppose move. This article includes criticism of both, but is primarily about the website itself and matters related to the website. O.N.R. (talk) 21:16, 25 November 2021 (UTC)
- Strong oppose and support a WP:SNOW closure - "Facebook" is still clearly the WP:COMMONNAME and will continue to be for the foreseeable future. HumanBodyPiloter5 (talk) 23:00, 26 November 2021 (UTC)
- Oppose. The company has had over a decade of history before renaming itself "Meta". Some people don't even know its current name is "Meta". For one thing, "Facebook" is still the established name, and for another, the company renaming itself doesn't affect criticism made before the renamer. JIP | Talk 01:41, 27 November 2021 (UTC)
- Oppose this is primarily about criticism of the app, not the corporate entity. User:力 (powera, π, ν) 17:41, 29 November 2021 (UTC)
- Oppose this is primarily about the criticism of the social network, which understandably gets directed at the company. Most of the criticism of the company is related to the network. Bneu2013 (talk) 19:17, 29 November 2021 (UTC)

Is the first sentence of the article off topic?
It feels like it's talking more about the impact that criticism has had rather than a summary of the criticism itself, which seems more important. Likeanechointheforest (talk) 22:20, 15 March 2022 (UTC)
Merging Unfollow Everything
Unfollow Everything take down has been covered by reliable sources, but the software is probably not notable for a standalone article yet. Coverage lasted mostly for a few days after the take down. With the exception of this WSJ piece [1]. Could someone look into merging that article to Criticism of Facebook or Facebook? Thank you. MarioGom (talk) 15:52, 20 December 2021 (UTC)
- Support - I support the merge, you can continue and make a redirect to its section under Criticism of Facebook. DownTownRich (talk) 16:57, 20 January 2022 (UTC)
- Support - All of the above --Jamo62 (talk) 13:07, 31 January 2022 (UTC)
- Comment: There is a tag saying this article is too long to read comfortably, so I think a merge should be avoided if possible.
- Length concerns noted, but 2 sentences shouldn't be burdensome and pruning elsewhere would be more effective. Merger complete. Klbrain (talk) 09:13, 17 April 2022 (UTC)
