Opinion

[edit]

The statement "Crime is a serious problem in Zimbabwe, and is driven by the country's deteriorating economy" is entirely opinionated. Unless there are sources to be cited that definitely prove that it is a serious problem, and that it is in fact driven by its poor economy, this sentence is not appropriate for inclusion in Wikipedia. I have added a source. Thank you for pointing out the problem. I'm an Editorofthewiki[citation needed] 22:44, 16 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Removed the reference to crime being caused by deteriorating economy despite it being fallacious in nature,it completely generalizes the fact that there are more immediate causes to crimes that cannot be simply reduced to the economic woes. To accept a poor economy as the sole cause of crime would require the opposite to be true also, a good economy leads to less crime which is not true. Besides it is a misleading sentence to lead with. I should know I have lived, studied in Zimbabwe all my entire life. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Garikaib (talkcontribs) 13:21, 24 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
