Pokemon?

[edit]

Shouldn't the games list include Pokemon? Kouban (talk) 22:27, 15 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I think that's just games Creatures did the programming work for. Game Freak does the programming for the non-spinoff Pokémon games. --Evice (talk) 00:50, 5 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
yeah but pokemon should still be in the list — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:8004:15A0:21E2:1D9B:FA2E:E34D:53BD (talk) 00:40, 12 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Several Pokemon games are on the list. The main RPGs are not, except for Sword and Shield, because the director confirmed that Creatures had worked on those. It is very well possible that Creatures also contributed to other core Pokemon RPGs, but they are not listed on their website. If you have a reliable source, feel free to add them. Mario's Picross

[edit]

The articles for both game don't mention this company, AND attribute the games to other studios. Salvidrim! 02:21, 18 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Developer, co-developer, assistant developer

[edit]

I've revamped the gameography, which was more difficult than I thought. I quickly realized that Creatures did not completely develop many of these games. They are credited as co-developers on several. In others, they seemed to have played more of an ancillary role, and I can imagine their contributions were 5% or 10% or something. Because of this, I decided to differentiate between developer, co-developer, and assistant developer, using these labels to display the various degrees of contributions the company made.

Two examples are Super Smash Bros. (see credits, 0:27) and Super Smash Bros. Melee (see credits, 0:12). Their ending credits list a number of employees from Creatures, but no website ever mentions Creatures as a co-developer of these games (MobyGames: SSB, SSB Melee; Giant Bomb: SSB, SSB Melee). I don't think they should, really, if their contributions were relatively small. That's why I opted for the term assistant developer, not co-developer.

I can imagine there are many other developers out there who play a similar background role in the gaming scene. I wonder what their gameographies look like...
