Although Clapboard has an American bias I am happy with the title because America has a strong tradition of wooden buildings and the rest of the world knows what clapboard is. Stained

The photo captioned that the boards are "stained dark brown", that looks much more like natural unpainted wood that has darkened from UV exposure. That's what happens when you use plain untreated wood for siding, that why old barns look dark brown or black, and that's why it's streaky, with parts still showing blond and others turning dark. If it stained it was carefully done to replicate the natural aging effect. Idumea47b (talk) 13:01, 11 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
