Link to chicken disambiguation page
[edit]I don't think there is any need. It's not like you can get to this page by accident looking for some other thing called chicken. Maybe I'm missing something? --MarSch 10:11, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
MTA song
[edit]apparently it is relevant, unfortunately it isn't immegdiately clear why. Could someone make this clear? --MarSch 10:29, 5 May 2007 (UTC)
- From the "Popular culture" section:
--144.32.177.112 11:05, 5 May 2007 (UTC)The computer scientist Henry Baker references the song in his paper CONS Should Not CONS Its Arguments, Part II: Cheney on the M.T.A., which describes a way of implementing Cheney's algorithm using C functions that, like Charlie, never return.
- Yes, it took me a minute of two to see how apposite this was to Chicken's implementation of Scheme. This only dawned after I had removed it from the article. --Tony Sidaway 11:32, 5 May 2007 (UTC)
"Prepackaged egg" ?
[edit]I eventually found this page when trying to figure out what the trac documentation meant by "prepackaged egg". I only think this is even the relevant page; I'm completely unfamiliar with chicken and *.egg.
- that's not chicken's trac site... --MarSch (talk) 06:45, 19 June 2008 (UTC)
So... perhaps someone could add the phrase "prepackaged egg" and a description of what it's called that?
- Do the chicken docs say it is called a "prepackaged egg"? --MarSch (talk) 06:45, 19 June 2008 (UTC)
Finding anything about this was made more difficult by the fact that eggs-in-a-carton are also called "prepackaged eggs". <grumble>never mind that they should be called repackaged eggs...</grumble> Complex.confusion (talk) 16:15, 18 June 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, that's developerese. If you don't have the source code for an egg, it's "prepackaged". The meaning isn't obvious to non-developers. --TS 19:43, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
Old limitations
[edit]I removed two older limitations (absence of the numerical tower, absence of hygienic macros) that are no longer documented on the website. --TS 18:30, 11 August 2009 (UTC)

- Support per MOS:TM, MOS:ALLCAPS. The cited sources show that the proposed styling is already in common use. —BarrelProof (talk) 02:39, 13 March 2019 (UTC)
