Ampersand
[edit]As has been noted by others, it's quite clear that this page should be merged into the ampersand version. I've looked at Wikipedia's style guidelines for info about how to handle "and" vs. ampersands, and can't find anything definitive; in the absence of that, I think that the ampersand version should prevail, because that is what the center itself uses. I will work on the merge/redirect. Migp 19:14, 2 October 2006 (UTC)
I'm going to start consolidating information onto the "ampersand" version of the page (i.e., the other version). I'm going to do it piece by piece, then will complete the redirect once this is done. So in the meantime, there will likely be some information overlap. Feel free to help consolidate info, clean up, etc. Remember, "be bold" in editing! Boldly edit where no man has edited before! Per discussion with Daniel Olsen (on my talk page and his), the ampersand version of this page should be merged into the "and" version, rather than the other way around... and then the complete page set up with redirects. I'll work on this merging piece by piece; all help is welcomed! Migp 17:48, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
History
[edit]It has been brought to my attention by one of my co-workers at Chabot that the whole history section is pulled verbatim from an article which can be found online. On top of that, it contains some small inacuracies. I will work with Chabot's historian over the next few weeks to get the entry up to date and free from copyright entanglements. Apollo 13
[edit]The article "Independent evidence for Apollo Moon landings" mentions that Nasa enlisted Chabot's aid in calculating the return telemetry for the Apollo 13 mission. Is this indeed true? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Pensacolanate (talk • contribs) 05:10, 10 April 2007 (UTC).
A google search for "chabot" and "apollo 13" came up with this link http://www.astr.ua.edu/keel/space/apollo.html, which quotes Terry Galloway, who is still an active volunteer at Chabot. The article also refers to a broken link to "Chabot Observatory calendar" at "http://www.chabotspace.org/vsc/planetarium/skycalendar/default.asp?MODE=MONTH&M=3&Y=2004&ES=1". Not sure if there is any current way to refer to this calendar. I will check with Conrad Jung of the Chabot Observatory and try to find out. Steveberl (talk) 22:07, 6 September 2011 (UTC)

Removed banner from main page
[edit]I have removed the banner, dated July 2011, from the main page that stated the article relied too much on primary sources. More diverse sources have been added since then, making the banner obsolete. Bruin2 (talk) 22:13, 9 May 2017 (UTC)
Replacement reasons?
[edit]Can you tell me why the Bill Nye climate exhibit replaced the planet exhibit? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Clrichey (talk • contribs) 00:28, 25 November 2021 (UTC)
