VG Assessment

[edit]

This is in response to the request at WP:VG/A. I'm nominating this article for A-class, which by convention requires a second assessor to agree. The only quibble I have is the bulleted list in the merchandise section, which I think should be made into prose, but that's a small thing. --PresN (talk) 06:19, 29 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Some things I think need to be done before A-class can be achieved:
  • The lead section needs some qualification that identifies the game as handheld for those who are not familiar with the "Nintendo DS" platform. This is necessary to understand the rest of the article.
  • Some minor jargon: "combo attacks", "viewable", etc. I just wrote a section in WP:VG/GL on jargon because of this, might be good to check.
  • The 'Alternate modes' section is incomprehensible when read quickly. The structure of the section is at fault here, because the first and last sentence of each paragraph are not the 'key sentences', but rather introduce details. A minor remark, but would need fixing for Featured Article status.
  • The screenshots in the article do not seem particularly representative. In this page, listed as source on one of the images, there are several better ones available.
  • I agree with PresN on the merchandise list. It's not a big deal, but prepare to be shot down for it in a FAC.
  • Some of the preview stuff in the external links should be removed, as it's no longer relevant.
  • Finally, I laughed at the input method "buttons", but perhaps it should be changed? Or lets make a bot to add "buttons" to all video game articles XD

Broken NavBox

[edit]

The Castlevania navigation box at the bottom of the page appears broken in FireFox 3 and IE 6. The same NavBox appears to work correctly on other pages. In the source that my web browsers see, the "{{NavBox" token apparently isn't being pre-processed out. The bulk of links are still present, but it appears as word salad without the formatting a NavBox is supposed to have. --DLWormwood (talk) 16:29, 23 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I don't see this problem. Pagrashtak 17:26, 23 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Expand development section

[edit]

The dev section is small and needs expansion. There's the Play Interview with Iga and Yamane. There's also the JP guidebook, and most of them have interviews with the dev team. I don't have access to this guidebook though. Harizotoh9 (talk) 22:05, 16 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
