Grand Ole Opry
I have removed the category "Grand Ole Opry member" twice now. Just because someone was invited to become a member of the Opry that alone doesn't make them a member. The Opry does not consider someone a member until thier induction, even if they have been invited to become a member. Carrie Underwood is not listed as a member on the Opry website and will not be considered a member of the Opry until May 10. Please do not jump the gun and list her in the members category until then (Wikipedia is not a crystal ball). Dblevins2 (talk) 02:59, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
Vegetarian
Although she did become a vegetarian it wasnt for sure all 13. She mentioned gave up beef at about 10 to 13 and then gave up meat from pigs and eventually gave up all meat. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.141.255.150 (talk) 02:27, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
This is from CMT 20 questions with Carrie Underwood.
16. When did you become a vegetarian?
I quit eating beef when I was somewhere between 10 and 13 because we do have cows and I did bottle feed them and stuff like that. They were like my pets. I had an incident one day that made me refuse to eat beef ever, ever again. Later on, my neighbor had pigs, and I thought they were cute, and it just kind of went on and on from there. I phased it out over a period of time. My parents were actually banding calves. I don't know if you know what that means. I'm not going to explain it to you. ... Basically, it was to make them grow bigger so people could eat them, and they were so cute, and it just made me sad. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.141.255.150 (talk) 02:30, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
Where was she really born?
I do not know enough about Miss. Underwood, but the article lists her as having been born in "Checotah, Oklahoma" in the first sentence of the article, but "Muskogee, Oklahoma" in the "Early Life" section. Would someone who knows this fact just clarify it when time permits (Nicolaususry (talk) 00:14, 18 May 2008 (UTC))
- She was raised in Checotah, but was born in Muskogee. σмgнgσмg(talk) 01:45, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
Tours
Hi guys, there is no discussion page for Tours yet and all Carrie's hardcore fans are here, so I want to ask whether we should post up the poster of the tours (like many other tours of other artists did). I think it is nice to put them on! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Pokepikalem (talk • contribs) 12:22, 21 June 2008 (UTC)
- All things considering, is it notable? σмgнgσмg(talk) 12:25, 21 June 2008 (UTC)
- All things considering isn't it better? People look at Carrie's page and will be like: haha, no fan wants to make this pathetic page better? And since it is allowed, why not put some effort in it! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Pokepikalem (talk • contribs) 15:32, 21 June 2008 (UTC)
- A brief paragraph on the tours would be suffice, but a poster is just too much. σмgнgσмg(talk) 02:52, 22 June 2008 (UTC)
- Uhm. True. Wiki has quota for all that right? What I mean is just a photo, not a big poster :D --lem (talk) 02:56, 22 June 2008 (UTC)
- Usually, the pictures displayed on articles are "free", whereas, a tour poster is "non-free" and it would need to have a purpose and necessity for this article. Don't forget to sign using ~~~~. σмgнgσмg(talk) 03:59, 22 June 2008 (UTC)
