Blokenearexeter: It sounds like "cart shed" describes a building near a farm field intended to house agricultural implements. "Carriage house" usually applies to a building intended to house passenger vehicles. (In traditional parlance a "carriage" was a horse-drawn conveyance with springs intended to carry passengers. A "wagon" or "cart" was usually a horse-drawn conveyance without springs used to transport goods. There were some exceptions such as "dog cart" which was a term used at different times to describe several different types of passenger carriages.) It may be a small difference, but it sounds to me like "Cart shed" should be a separate article. Newell Post (talk) 03:38, 29 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It looks like another attempt to make wikipedia britapedia - cart shed doesn't need an article, a shed is well a shed. a carriage house is something completely different. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 192.158.48.16 (talk) 13:25, 20 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
