[edit]Isn't there supose to be "Colón" instead of "Colon"? (the o changes to ó)
- I've changed all redirects as to point to "Carlitos Colón". Changing "Colon" to "Colón" is understandable (there is, indeed, a big difference... better to pass as a descendant of Columbus than as a large intestine...), but the "Carlitos" part most United States readers won't necessarily be aware of. The Headline name...
[edit]He is always known has Carlos Colón, not Carly. The one who is known as Carly is his son, Carlito(Caribbean Cool). I think the name should be change so that it's stays true to how the puerto ricans came to know him by and that is Carlos Colón.
- I agree, and this deserves a vote... Demf 16:55, 27 June 2006 (UTC)
- I agree also, and growing up in Puerto Rico I know that everybody here calls him Carlos Colon, even Carlitos Colon was a more appropiate name.

- I sense that "Carlos Colón" should be the entry's name. If no one objects, I'll change it myself soon. 136.145.192.75 15:17, 31 July 2006 (UTC)

Birthdate
[edit]In PWI it said he was born in 1945. Could someone please verify this.Titan012 (talk) 06:01, 26 July 2008 (UTC)
- Here, "Este viernes (hoy) cumplo 60 años y 42 en el ring..." lit. "This Friday I reach 60 years of age and 42 in the ring...", straight from the horse's mouth. - Caribbean~H.Q. 07:08, 26 July 2008 (UTC)
- Just to clarify, that interview is dated July 18, 2008. - Caribbean~H.Q. 07:17, 26 July 2008 (UTC)
Name clarification
[edit]I see someone previously mentioned "Carlitos Colón." On the WWC broadcasts that I've viewed tape of (mostly from 1985-1987), Hugo Savinovich repeatedly refers to him as "Carlitos" rather than "Carlos." My limited grasp of Spanish tells me that in reality, this would make him a junior, not a senior. Namely, "Carlitos" translates to "Little Carlos" and is the preferred term to a Spanish speaker than "Carlos, Jr." Then again, like I said, my Spanish is not that great, so feel free to correct any of this if it's wrong.RadioKAOS (talk) 04:24, 9 June 2011 (UTC)
