Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Bury Hill, Arundel. Please take a moment to review my edit. You may add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it, if I keep adding bad data, but formatting bugs should be reported instead. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether, but should be used as a last resort. I made the following changes:

When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true or failed to let others know (documentation at {{Sourcecheck}}).

Referencing

[edit]

I've just re-written this, mainly because the two versions of McCann's work I could lay my hands just didn't tie up with what was claimed here - the 1702 match or the result of the 1745 match, for example, aren't even vaguely speculated in in them. I do wonder sometimes if this stuff was deliberately made up to troll everyone or whether it was just an over-active imagination. Anyway, we now have stuff that can be actually sourced. I'm concerned it doesn't meet the GNG in the sort of way it should and so have tagged it for now - a redirect to Bury, West Sussex would probably not be a bad thing anyway. Merge

[edit]

The hill at the moment shows not enough notability to warrant its own article. It's claim to fame seems to be a few 18th-century cricket matches. This article is best merged into Bury, West Sussex, the parish in which the hill lies. Is there any objection to the merge, and why? Thanks. Acabashi (talk) 11:06, 9 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
