[edit]Is a boom mic omnidirectional?184.147.232.160 (talk) 17:35, 22 April 2013 (UTC)
- Generally they are shotgun or hypercardiod although they can be cardiod. Common mics are the Sennheiser 416 / 816. Ww1925 (talk) 19:51, 29 March 2014 (UTC)
Proposed merge of Perchman into Boom operator (media)
[edit]Just seems like a synonym for what a boom operator does, but in France. The references for this article describe a boom operator. Seems like a bit of "Po-tay-toe vs. Po-tah-toe" in my book. Explodicator7331 (talk) 19:54, 28 March 2024 (UTC)
- I second this. 24.229.12.167 (talk) 15:35, 3 May 2024 (UTC)
- Redirected, as there was nothing unique to merge. Interestingly, the French article was already connected to this page rather than the other. Klbrain (talk) 19:33, 16 May 2024 (UTC)
