March 2007

[edit]

Hello all, and thank you for contributing to this school site. I'm part of the Wikipedia:WikiProject_Schools/Assessment team, and, as it has recently been editted, then I'm reviewing this page. I'm currently giving it a grade of start on the Wikipedia 1.0 Assessment Scale and an importance of High on this importance scale.

My reasoning is as follows: This school is 1300 years old and is one of the oldest in the UK. Victuallers 14:42, 10 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I Do Not Understand

[edit]

some of the infomation on this article that was true has been deleted —Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.100.208.98 (talk) 16:55, 24 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If there is anything factual that has been deleted, then feel free to add the data here, then an admin will restore that information to the text. The article has been protected from editing due to a spate of very tedious and juvenile vandalism. People have better things to do than continuously removing vandalism.
If, on the other hand, what you want is to add more vandalism, under the guise of "well its true, X does have bad breath", then you are out of luck. Mayalld (talk) 10:32, 25 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Alumni - Beverley Grammar School

[edit]

Two of the school houses when I was there in the 1970's were "Fisher" and "Conington". I'm surprised not to see a reference to both in the alumni section? The wiki section on John Fisher mentions his attendance at the school, but the school entry does not mention him. A web search for John Conington will also reveal that he attended Beverley Grammar School. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.78.158.96 (talkcontribs) 23:32, 30 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have added these to the list as info in their articles confirms this. Keith D (talk) 23:04, 4 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Note - the above referred to the section of the article relating to the History of the school, which has been removed. Keith D (talk) 11:44, 6 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sixth Oldest

[edit]

I doubt that this school is the fourth oldest in England: We have King's School, Canterbury (founded 597),the King's School, Rochester (604), St Peter's School, York, England (627), Thetford Grammar School, Thetford, England (631), Royal Grammar School Worcester, England (685) and then comes Beverley Grammar School, England (700) Clearly the Sixth oldest. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.16.98.209 (talk) 02:31, 28 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have added a New Houses section

[edit]

I have added information for the houses as i felt that it had relative importance to be included,I have read the School's own version of it's house history and included references to it, When writing down the information i was reading the information and it is loosely based on the school's own text, but it is my own and is not copied/pasted straight from their site, I have also removed the Croatian language because the information was so old it was incorrect and consisted of only a few lines and the logo.
