Fair use rationale for Image:BYUCougars.png
[edit]Image:BYUCougars.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Image copyright problem with Image:BYUlogo.png
[edit]The image Image:BYUlogo.png is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
- That this article is linked to from the image description page.
The following images also have this problem:

Team victories format
[edit]Using the table to show which colors represent which teams is cumbersome, and clutters the page. I think we should stick to the format used on other multi-team trophy pages (Commander in Chief's Trophy, Michigan MAC Trophy, Florida Cup etc.) This format has been used on all these pages for several years, and nobody else has disputed it. I'm not saying it doesn't need to be changed, but I think the format you are suggesting is not as good as what is already there. Also, we should keep these pages consistent. For now, keep it the way it is until the community as a whole can agree on whether it needs to be changed and, if so, what to change it to. Bmf 51 (talk) 02:39, 14 December 2011 (UTC)
- As a compromise, I've done the same basic thing that you did, but horizontally. My main issue with your format is that it is unsightly compared to the other way. Doing it vertically looks better, and is the same basic idea as yours. Hope that suits you. Bmf 51 (talk) 03:07, 14 December 2011 (UTC)
- I don't think vertical list of the team victories is cumbersome at all. But I do agree a lateral display looks better, I like it... good edit. Simply stating the shade with small blocks do not do the page justice. My initial edits provide a better aesthetic & visual understanding of the information (considering the background color can seem different than the small blocks). As with all articles on Wikipedia, the initial format may have been there for years, that doesn't mean there isn't a better way, thus the free will to edit. Thanks for the compromise. Now we can move forward with said edits to other pages (as you've already accomplished). Keep on keeping on, Bullmoosebell (talk) 04:27, 14 December 2011 (UTC)
