Speedy deletion of Image:ACCUSAMap.png
[edit]A tag has been placed on Image:ACCUSAMap.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on [[ Talk:Image:ACCUSAMap.png|the talk page]] explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. ukexpat (talk) 01:51, 16 November 2008 (UTC)
The Fast and the Furious
[edit]Hey, I just noticed that you tagged this article and said that the prose was bad, especially the plot summary. I rewrote the plot summary, so I was wondering if you had any specific pointers as to how to improve the plot. hbdragon88 (talk) 03:22, 21 March 2009 (UTC)
New AHL team map
[edit]you should probably wait to put that up when the new divisional alignments and new team names are made up Warriorshockey1 (talk) 01:08, 11 May 2009 (UTC)
- It's easily customizable, and can be changed when need be. As of now, those are the correct team names, location, and division affiliations.Bmf 51 (talk) 01:14, 11 May 2009 (UTC)
- ok then, thanks for your contribution. Warriorshockey1 (talk) 01:15, 11 May 2009 (UTC)

Re: CHS
[edit]Well, first off Bmf51, excuse me if you thought I was making "personal attacks" against you. It was by no means my intention, and I apologize for that. Second, I guess it was just my point of view, that every day when I walk down the hallway at Cheltenham (yes, I am a current student) and see that plaque, it gives me a moment to reflect and feel how much other people have sacrificed for me. When I began editing the CHS page, it was nothing more than 1 paragraph saying where the school was, and a list of some of the famous alumni. Now I am not saying I did the whole page, but believe me (and look back at the history), I really gave this page life. From the school infobox, to the class summaries, athletics, athletic infobox, Blue and Gold, Dance Marathon, SD badminton tourney, every picture on the page I took myself, the PIAA SOL template at the bottom, this page is now somewhat respectable (in comparison to some of the other schools in the Delaware Valley, whose pages are pitiful). Basically, much of this page is my own work, and I am very proud of that.
Now if you believe the memorial should be taken off, so be it. As you said "you'll win the battle." I initially thought you were just some jerk out there who was messing with a page that, quite frankly, I have spent a great deal of time and effort trying to make is as solid as possible.
I think, like I said in the actual article, it is our responsibility to always remember those who gave their lives for ours, so I would be grateful if we could make some sort of compromise (maybe not as long of a paragraph, moving it down to the bottom, etc.) but somehow, I would like to dedicate this page to them. If not, then just say "no", and I'll move on. Again, I didn't want to initiate any sort of "edit war."
So that's all I guess, now that this is pretty much settled. I appreciate your contributions to the CHS page. And just so you know, I am plenty aware of what the intentions and purpose of Wikipedia, and it's my duty to follow them with every edit I make. But with this, I guess I was just trying to follow my duty as an American, to remember someone who walked in the same halls as I am walking in now, and lost their innocent life to terrorists.
Thanks, and again, I apologize for the miscommunication.
Sincerely, Peetlesnumber1 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Peetlesnumber1 (talk • contribs) 02:00, 16 March 2011 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:NewAHLmap.png
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:NewAHLmap.png. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.
If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-enwikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-enwikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Powers T 18:39, 23 June 2011 (UTC)

[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. AAC Standings
[edit]Hi,
UCF will be the BCS rep from the AAC, because they already beat Louisville and Cincinnati, so their head-to-head with those two teams would give them the bid. BCS at-large uses BCS standings to determine the representation, but the automatic bid uses on-the-field results. If the automatic bid were also BCS-weighted, then Nebraska would have been the automatic bid last year from the Big Ten, even though they lost in the championship game.
Cheers! BenYes? 23:43, 30 November 2013 (UTC)
- You are incorrect. UCF did not play Cincinnati this season. See here: http://www.orlandosentinel.com/sports/blogs/knights-notepad/os-ucf-how-can-knights-clinch-bcs-bid-20131130,0,3023229.post Bmf 51 (talk)
