August 2024 Lebanon strikes → August 2024 Israel–Lebanon strikes – Israel's strikes and Hezbollah's response are equally notable and should be equally covered. elijahpepe@wikipedia (he/him) 03:48, 25 August 2024 (UTC)
- @ElijahPepe: This doesn't seem like a controversial move; you could try boldly moving it. Nythar (💬-🍀) 04:40, 25 August 2024 (UTC)
- Does not seem controversial but support anyway as it's the same event and no need for two articles. Makeandtoss (talk) 10:28, 25 August 2024 (UTC)
- Support and speedy close this isn’t controversial, per Makeandtoss. FortunateSons (talk) 17:17, 26 August 2024 (UTC)

Many news sites (such as https://www.ynet.co.il/news/article/rk1fji00s0#autoplay) are reporting the IDF claim that the navy officer was killed accidentally by a misfired iron dome interceptor or the falling shrapnel of an interceptor, not by a hezbollah rocket attack. Please change the casualties section in the article to reflect this. 185.182.71.19 (talk) 15:42, 25 August 2024 (UTC)
- Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. M.Bitton (talk) 01:16, 10 September 2024 (UTC)
Move discussion in progress
[edit]There is a move discussion in progress on Talk:September 2024 Lebanon strikes which affects this page. Please participate on that page and not in this talk page section. Thank you. —RMCD bot 19:55, 1 October 2024 (UTC)
- Just noting here that there appears to be some support (and no opposition AFAIK) for moving this article to August 2024 attacks on Israel and Lebanon. Lewisguile[1], estar8806[2] VR (Please ping on reply) 16:05, 7 October 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks. I did note that. There is explicit opposition for any solution involving "airstrikes" or "missile strikes". Lewisguile (talk) 14:48, 8 October 2024 (UTC)
Edit Request: Naming on Hezbollah rockets.
[edit]I noticed that the rockets are specifically named and linked to the BM-13 "Katyusha" system. A WW2 Soviet MLRS system that has long been deemed obsolete. Is there any proof that these are specifically Katyusha Rockets? Otherwise the correct term should just be "Unguided Rockets" or "Various rocket launcher systems". This is primarily to prevent misinformation on the use of the weapon systems involved. JR004 (talk) 03:08, 16 October 2024 (UTC)
