I have redirected this article since there is no indication, apart from the name of a road leading out of Chichester, that the name "Appledram" occurs anywhere. If it does, then the article should give a reference for it. Is this perhaps the pronunciation of the village name? Peter Shearan 16:36, 20 January 2006 (UTC)
- Appledram appears to be the name of the parish. It is used for example here. Morwen - Talk 12:49, 23 January 2006 (UTC)
Images
[edit]The relevant section from MOS:IMAGES
Most pictures should be between 100 and 400 pixels wide. Generally, use the thumbnail option ("thumb"), which is available in the image markup. This results in a default width of 180 pixels (140 pixels if the "upright" option is used as well), although logged-in users can set a different default in their user preferences. As a rule, images should not be forced to a fixed size (that is, one that overrides the default). Where it is appropriate to force size, images should generally be no more than 300 pixels wide, so that they can be comfortably displayed on 800x600 monitors.
I have to agree that the Rymans picture looks nice as it is but the Dell Quay at 400px is too big so I have reverted that to a thumb for the moment. My experience from peer reviews is that everyone seems to insist on thumbs. There are exceptions, but not applicable in this article, so my opinion is that all these images should be thumbs. - Thanks for the advice.
Yes, 400px was too large. However 180px is very small. I have compromised at 300px. Apuldram (talk) 13:13, 30 April 2009 (UTC)
