Disputed information

[edit]

Wong reportedly studied in Vietnam through a Fulbright program after graduating from UCLA, but her name cannot be found in the grantee directory of the Fulbright U.S. Student Program, which is the only Fulbright program Wong would have been eligible for as a recent college graduate with a bachelor’s degree: https://us.fulbrightonline.org/alumni/grantee-directory. The sources reporting that fact are extremely reliable (Vanity Fair and the Washington Post). It's worth continuing to investigate but speculative text should remain off the actual article unless harder evidence for its inclusion is found. Cerebral726 (talk) 22:10, 7 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
There appears to be several programs under the Fulbright umbrella. I wouldn't be surprised if it's like under the Fulbright-Hays program. — BriefEdits (talk) 22:14, 7 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Wong only completed a BA, so she would not have been eligible for the Fulbright-Hays Program, which is exclusively for doctoral dissertation research. Erre.e.ro (talk) 02:48, 8 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
That doesn't appear to be the case under their website. — BriefEdits (talk) 03:33, 8 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
To be specific, the Fulbright-Hays Group Projects Abroad Program is the sole program that allows students to work with faculty on group projects. Here is a breakdown of all the Fulbright grants. Erre.e.ro (talk) 04:02, 8 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
This is WP:OR, and the difficulty of our confirming what grants were awarded on what conditions 17 years ago attests to the wisdom of our NOR policy. Barring an RS that contradicts the two currently cited, I’m going to remove the disputed tag. Innisfree987 (talk) 00:34, 13 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Main Picture

[edit]

What's up with the main picture? It's in black and white, and cropped all funny. It looks like some troll switched it. Can someone find a decent recent pic?2607:F2C0:94DA:C500:C1CE:E278:9B76:746D (talk) 04:48, 2 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Starred in Savages?

[edit]

Ali Wong is a cast member of Savages. To call her role “starring” or “opposite Benicio del Toro” is quite the stretch. She’s the last cast member listed on the Wikipedia page for the film and the character she played isn’t mentioned in any plot summary that I can find. 2603:8080:1400:130:81D1:A09B:CEC2:5687 (talk) 00:35, 9 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
