organization doesn't have a Hebrew name itself

[edit]

I have a few notes here. a) the word acadimiya can easily be considered hebrew in the sense that it has been imported into hebrew. b) the specialists in the academy probably don't find this offensive or else they would have changed it. c) this note has the only citation in the stub, yet it is in Hebrew, maybe someone can help by at least writing a short note to give us the gist of what is said in the link.

I notice the Hebrew word academy is not native yet uses nikud. Does the academy publish anything on how to use nikud with non-native words? — Hippietrail (talk) 05:54, 1 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, see here. Dan Pelleg (talk) 11:07, 2 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It is very hebrew.

[edit]

Again the Name is Hebrew.

Let me break this up for you as best as a Highschool drop-out can (only 10th grade edumication), as a native english speaking user with no exposure to the Hebrew culture. I do not speak any other language. So I should not speak of what I do not Know, but I feel compelled to respond in defense.

I have them (the phonetics, the sounds, characters) seperated by a dash ( - ).

The/Mind - Eye/Sight - House/Decide - Head (the one with the face, eyes, ears, nose, mouth) - Power/Create - Marks (characters).

In less George Lucas "Yoda" Speak.

This School, is a Building that Uses the Power of the Mind, to create Marks in which they use to understand the world around them.

A SCHOOL, establishing Hebrew meaning, to a Hebrew nation. The Government that is Isreal is merely building an Identity, they are Naming,

Again The Hebrew Letters/Sounds. Heh - Ayin - Bet - Resh - Yod - Taw

So no, your point is moot and irrelevent. It is very Hebrew. Just your perception of the word, or rather the letters (and not the sound) definitions are as limited as mine, or any others.

This is not a stub article.

This is an article dedicated to a foreign (from an native-born American's perspective) Government's culture, history and a contributing entity in the daily lives of many, however few of the Living.

The attacks on this alleged stub article and all other Israeli/Hebrew articles, are simply Qof (barbaric)!

Nikkud are used in modern Hebrew, not biblical, although my 'tanakh' does contain nikkud, I go out of my way to ignore them, as they often obfuscate the intellectual, and creative powers of the mind. The nikkud, based on the previous statement, do however serve to be a 'vulgate' language, in much the way that the Vatican uses/d Latin.

However these are merely my Creative Mind standing at The Window.

Hebrew is very similar to the Aramaic language, if you know this. פארוק (talk) 12:48, 1 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Notability

[edit]

I removed the Notability tag that was placed by an anonymous user in July. It's quite ridiculous to question the notability of this widely-known institution.

I do agree that the "primary sources" tag can stay until better secondary sources are added. I'll try to do it soon. --Amir E. Aharoni (talk) 21:31, 2 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
