Omar el-Badri
[edit]The 1970 Secretary General of OPEC was Libya's Omar el-Badri (1937–2010), and the long-serving current Secretary General is Libya's Abdallah Salem el-Badri (born 1940). OPEC seems to have maintained a careful silence about any family connection between these two el-Badri leaders from Libya. Can anyone find a reliable reference stating whether the two men were brothers, half-brothers, cousins, or maybe not known relations? —Patrug (talk) 07:57, 1 June 2016 (UTC)
Similar question regarding Abdul Qadir el-Badri (1921–2003), who was Libya's prime minister briefly in 1967. —Patrug (talk) 15:48, 2 June 2016 (UTC)
