[edit]- "Wikipedia has a policy that AOL and Comcast web site links cannot be included here" actually that is not true. There is, however an automated script, User:Shadowbot, that automatically removes such linsk because they are very often spam. I ahve blocked this script (bot) from operating for 24 hours, and asked the programmer to fix the issue. DES (talk) 07:40, 29 April 2007 (UTC)
- Here are the comments by the editor who created the script (robot or "bot") that was reverting the links:
- Thank you. I didn't realize that the bot was still reverting the links, as I explicitly told it to whitelist the site. I'm going to find out why the bot ignored the whitelist. Shadow1 (talk) 14:03, 29 April 2007 (UTC)
- Ok, it turns out that the bot would evaluate whether the rule is on the blacklist BEFORE the whitelist, which caused the bot to revert even though I told it not to. I've fixed the problem and unblocked the bot. If it bothers the article again, let me know. Shadow1 (talk) 20:09, 29 April 2007 (UTC)
- You should now be able to have the links to the valids sites remain unmolested. if there is a probelm in future, and "Shadowbot" reverts valids links, noify User:Shadow1 as he request. Also feel free to notify me, or any admin. The Admin's incidents page is a good place to brign things to admin attention. DES (talk) 19:13, 30 April 2007 (UTC)
Notability
[edit]The lede paragraph needs to be updated to summarize the notable actions of the unit. -- btphelps (talk) (contribs) 14:16, 23 August 2010 (UTC)
Editing needed
[edit]I wikified the article somewhat by adding more links and subheads. Someone with more expertise on the unit's actions could easily expand each of the subhead sections with detail of the various battles, like the defense of St. Vith. -- btphelps (talk) (contribs) 14:56, 23 August 2010 (UTC)
