Spinning off Storm Boris
[edit]Storm Boris should be spun off into a new article. This is a highly unusual event which has caused significant damage to a number of countries in Central Europe. It's rare enough that windstorm names get noticed by mass media, and I'd go as far as to say it's easily the primary topic for List of storms named Boris based on either fatalities or property damage and suggest a WP:ITN nomination.
In addition, practically all of these events have impacted multiple countries, hence it makes more sense to organise them according to date or month than by country. Daß Wölf 02:18, 17 September 2024 (UTC)
- Support: Due to the prominent use of "Storm Boris" in news articles and mentions of its uniquely catastrophic impacts, it would make sense to have a separate article covering the specific meteorological history and impact of the storm itself akin to other European and Mediterranean storm articles such as Storm Daniel.
- News articles using "Storm Boris" as examples:

- I found out on WP:ITN/C that there's a second article about Storm Boris flooding, 2024 Central European floods. I've added a hatnote to the top of the article. Daß Wölf 08:07, 17 September 2024 (UTC)
- Support - I basically fully agree. Personally I think there should also be a merger of this with 2024 Central European floods, 2024 Switzerland floods, 2024 France floods and 2024 Germany floods as all of these articles touch upon disasters of same gravity, time, cause and rough geographical location; having this be split down further only creates future place for conflict, also merging these further should not be too difficult as all the articles I just mentioned are pretty stubby. (as this comment touches upon another article, with a similar discussion, I posted this comment both here and under the other talk page, I also encourage others here to look there for ideas, as it seems to me these two talk's have large overlap) Sebrana (talk) 17:12, 29 September 2024 (UTC)
- Support This is really why it should split:
- -1. Moving sometimes not fit to a few numbers of articles
- -2. Split can be a fucking good idea.
- -3. It's name, Boris, would bether change yet article.

- It'd help to provide sourcing for this given it currently has little coverage in the article. Traumnovelle (talk) 21:24, 4 November 2024 (UTC)
2024 Central European floods
[edit]How does this article differ from 2024 Central European floods? Should they be merged? 82.147.226.185 (talk) 14:37, 19 September 2024 (UTC)
- Fucking-no: Keep them seperate. MYSKaoi (talk) 11:38, 26 October 2024 (UTC) — MYSKaoi (talk · contribs) is currently under sockpuppet investigation. Happily888 (talk) 01:20, 13 November 2024 (UTC)
