2023 flash floods in Greece, Turkey and Bulgaria → 2023 Balkans flash floods – Flash flooding affected the Balkans, and this title miserably fails WP:CONCISE. 160.72.80.50 (talk) 18:02, 9 September 2023 (UTC)
- it affected the 3 countries not the whole region of Balkans. Lolkikmoddi (message me!) 19:25, 9 September 2023 (UTC)
- No, there were fatalities in 3 countries. It affected other countries to a lesser extent. And that doesn’t matter, we call it Effects of Hurricane Ida in the Northeastern United States, not Effects of Hurricane Ida in Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut and Massachusetts for a reason. 160.72.80.50 (talk) 11:59, 10 September 2023 (UTC)
- Support, but is "Balkans" the correct usage? or should it be "Balkan"? Either way, a better title than the current one. Inanimatecarbonrobin (talk) 06:28, 12 September 2023 (UTC)
- Comment This has clearly expanded beyond the Balkan region after the storm affected Libya (and Egypt, to a lesser extent). Should this be merged with the Storm Daniel article instead (as the flooding in Greece, Turkey and Bulgaria are now covered in the said article)? Vida0007 (talk) 14:52, 12 September 2023 (UTC)
- Merging sounds reasonable to me. I would support it (unless there's going to be enough info to warrant a fork in the future). Inanimatecarbonrobin (talk) 16:58, 12 September 2023 (UTC)
- I would also support a merge here -- if we didn't merge, I would go with something similar to Effects of Hurricane Harvey in Texas, but I don't think the Balkans-specific effects are sufficiently notable to warrant a separate article like that. Jokullmusic 00:28, 13 September 2023 (UTC)
- Merge into Storm Daniel – unnecessary split of information. ~ Cyclonebiskit (chat) 03:55, 13 September 2023 (UTC)
- Merge into Storm Daniel information in this article can be added to the Storm Daniel article. Tails Wx 18:47, 13 September 2023 (UTC)
- Merge into Storm Daniel per above. Buttons0603 (talk) 19:49, 15 September 2023 (UTC)

Debate
[edit]It seems too late to add to the discussion here. At least from what can see, the criteria were applied consistently. Ema--or (talk) 02:59, 19 September 2023 (UTC)
