2023 Asia Cup → 2023 ACC Men's Asia Cup – Please place your rationale for the proposed move here. WikiEdits2003 (talk) 09:11, 6 July 2023 (UTC)
- Reason:
- there are other tournament held as Asia Cup in hockey football
Mostly all the continental tournaments have their federation name in its tournament's name that's why ACC shall be in the name and for word 'Men's' it's quite obvious that the Women's Asia Cup also exists and to not be confused with it, it shall be 2023 ACC Men's Asia Cup WikiEdits2003 (talk) 09:14, 6 July 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose I believe that 2023 Asia Cup is the WP:COMMONNAME, and this tournament is the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC for the term Asia Cup (the women's event and other sports events have nowhere near as much coverage, sources and pageviews as this article). ACC Men's Asia Cup is not a name used in any sources so far as I can see. Joseph2302 (talk) 10:24, 6 July 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose 2023 Asia Cup is the WP:COMMONNAME and WP:PRIMARYTOPIC of Asia Cup. It doesn't seem logical to call in full form 2023 Asian Cricket Council Asia Cup (repetition of Asia). I think Asia Cup is the common name through which people can also understand that it is organized by Asian Cricket Council. RoboCric Let's chat 11:51, 6 July 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose WP:COMMONNAME. Rugbyfan22 (talk) 19:54, 7 July 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose WP:COMMONNAME The current title, "2023 Asia Cup," is widely recognized and consistent with common practice.

b layed = be played
see above 2603:8000:D300:D0F:6CBD:6151:A4C8:8AB0 (talk) 13:06, 26 July 2023 (UTC)
- Fixed There were a bunch of spelling errors and unhelpful word changes like this introduced yesterday, I have reverted back to the version without them. Joseph2302 (talk) 13:34, 26 July 2023 (UTC)
Background section
The background section should only include details relevant to the scheduling of this tournament. Instead, it currently lists way too many terrorist attacks and quotes from Indian representatives complaining about the tournament being hosted in Pakistan. This needs to be made more WP:NPOV, as the section has a clear pro-India/anti-Pakistan bias. Joseph2302 (talk) 10:28, 29 August 2023 (UTC)
- Users continually trying to add tonnes of quotes about Pakistan and terrorism is not WP:NPOV. This is an encyclopedia, not an Indian Government sponsored propaganda machine. Those that can't follow the contentious topics rules shouldn't be editing here. Joseph2302 (talk) 07:40, 1 September 2023 (UTC)
Super 4
Pakistan advanced to S4 but not as A1, India can beat Nepal with a better result yet 212.33.220.95 (talk) 17:31, 2 September 2023 (UTC)
- See the Format section, Pakistan are pre-allocated A1 regardless of if they finish first or second in the group. Joseph2302 (talk) 05:56, 3 September 2023 (UTC)
We need a controversy section
With a Tournament as despised as this, especially with the host change and the constant reserve days, this page needs a controversy section — Preceding unsigned comment added by 159.2.22.182 (talk) 15:59, 13 September 2023 (UTC)
- Firstly, new sections should be at the bottom, not the top (I have moved it). To answer your question/demand: no, as per WP:Controversy section. Joseph2302 (talk) 16:23, 13 September 2023 (UTC)
