Premature
[edit]Creation of this article may be premature. Systems are coming back up, and unless there is substantial development to this story, it may best fit under the original Rogers article. But time will tell. DiscantX 05:56, 9 July 2022 (UTC)

Visa/Mcard/Amex issues
[edit]It wasn't just Interac that was impacted with this. Although the underlying card services were un-impacted, businesses were unable to reach them unless they had non-rogers hardware. At my place of work 15 of the 17 terminals are rogers (the other two telus as insurance from the last time something like this happened) so the entire restaurant/bar had to run off two terminals, on a Friday. It was a total gong show although at least we were able to function unlike many. If the CRTC doesn't block the pending merger with shaw now the're absolutely out of their minds. 2001:569:7318:1D00:B585:21B9:5DF2:9907 (talk) 17:51, 9 July 2022 (UTC)
Credit for 2 days vs 1
[edit]Anyone have a direct source for Rogers saying the credit would be for two days rather than one? I found a National Post article saying two, and I know I saw social media/reddit posts saying two, but I can't actually find a statement by Rogers saying it. Maybe I'm missing something. Letter to the CRTC
[edit]The primary source can be found at https://crtc.gc.ca/eng/archive/2022/lt220712.htm
I'm not sure how to cite it correctly, but maybe someone else will bother. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 8df154x (talk • contribs) 15:25, 25 July 2022 (UTC)
- Anyone have a link to the letter to the CRTC explaining the outage? It was supposed to be made public record, but I couldn't find a copy of the entire thing anywhere. Just snippets from news sources. Apparently there are redacted and non-redacted versions of it, but I can't find either — just news articles. Were the news outlets given the letter, but it wasn't actually published anywhere? DiscantX 06:38, 30 July 2022 (UTC)
