2021 jet-of-fire eruption offshore

There seems to have been a large explosion offshore some 5 to 15 km of Azerbaijan in the Caspian Sea.

Many conflicting government and observer statements being made. This thread has many of them: link.

10+ hours later, it appears as if it is indeed a mud volcano with a lot of flammable gas, and had erupted before many decades ago, and also many centuries ago. link. Still likely worthy of mention in this article, once we have good sources. N2e (talk) 10:37, 5 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
