Looks like a start class article. íslenska hurikein #12(samtal) 20:29, 8 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No it isn't, it needs at least a one sentence description of every storm to be a start.--Nilfanion (talk) 09:10, 9 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Two Dudes

[edit]

Any particular reason Forrest and Gay were used in the same season? The "G" name for this list used to be Georgia. This is similar to what happened in the 1983 East Pacific season with Vivian and Winnie. -- §HurricaneERIC§ archive 22:09, 24 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Gay is a female name[1]. Miss Madeline | Talk to Madeline 01:14, 24 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Notes
1)We are told by the NDCC that TS Bining was from 15-19 May which ties in with the dates Brenda was active.
2)We are told that Typhoon Kuring struck the Philippines on June 6 by this. The JTWC ATCR also shows that Typhoon Dot also struck the Cebu Province on the same day.
3)We are told from this News report that storm signals have been raised before July 8 in preparation for Storm Elang. The only system to affect the PAR that week according to the JTWC ATCR is Faye.
4)We are told from this news report that the NDCC have not submitted a disaster report on Goring as off 1989-07-18. Working back wards the only system to affect the Philippines that week according to the JTWC ATCR is Gordon.
5) International names were used in conjunction with the National name. A B
6) PAGASA names need to be confirmed.
@Jason Rees: It's a very late post but I wanted to help find 'missing' PAGASA storms. Even though we don't have a source, I believe that Irma was Walding and 35W was Yeyeng. Although for Atring, I don't believe it was Winona. I personally think that Atring was the TD from January 26-28 (see Other systems in article). Typhoon2013 (talk) 10:03, 26 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Until a source is found we can not speculate on which system is which.Jason Rees (talk) 09:43, 25 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Jason Rees: In this [2], it is said that PAGASA started monitoring Miling the day before the page was published (c. July 28), located several km ENE of Batanes and moving at a direction of WNW towards Taiwan. The only storm with the same information (from its track) was 12W. So it's possible that 12W was Miling. Agree with me? Typhoon2013 (talk) 08:17, 26 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
It allows us to add two more names to the list but I am not sure about adding it to 12W until i see a source for it.Jason Rees (talk) 09:50, 26 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Jason Rees: Did you see the other source I put in, though? Because it's possible it was 12W. However Luming, I should say, is just a PAGASA TD (possibly not monitored by the JMA). Because according to YouTube (search up the 1992 Pacific typhoon season), there was a small cloud circulation southeast of 12W (regenerated into Ken). I know it's hard to see but yeah, I just wanted to help find missing PAGASA storms.

To add as well, in the table, it says Sapul next to Ken-Lola. Who put that in? Because it doesn't look like a storm name (it is a Filipino name though). Typhoon2013 (talk) 21:18, 26 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
