Reading the original questions, or the very good transalted ones here, it is clear that the referendum did ask for "reject expansion of the country's nuclear power industry".

That was a political decision, as written later, where the referendum was taken as "justification". I would change the first sentence.

Also, I dont think that has to do with nuclear physics. That's politics.... any comment?

I agree on your first point (assuming you meant "the referendum did not ask..."), and have rephrased the article accordingly. As to the second point, do you refer to the classifications of the article as a stub?
