  • "The cyclone was the strongest on record to make landfall on the Arabian Peninsula, until Cyclone Gonu surpassed it in 2007" is it still the 2nd strongest overall? You say that in the lead. Also, the second part of the sentence is awkward. I'd say something like. "At that time, the cyclone was the strongest on record to make landfall on the Arabian Peninsula, but was surpassed by Cyclone Gonu 2007." 15:38, 12 April 2014 (UTC)
  • "The military base in Masirah raised a Category 3 warning on the morning of June 12," wtf is "a Category 3 warning"
  • "Rain totals were significant, with a total of 482.3 millimetres (18.99 in) falling 40 kilometres (25 mi) northeast of Salalah.[6] A station on Masirah Island reported reported 430.6 millimetres (16.95 in) in 24 hours, more than six times the average annual precipitation there." again with the not abbreviating units.
