@RoundSquare: I think there is a page missing from the Declaration of Election source – after page 5, there should be a page 6 completing the declaration from Anetan and Ewa (part 4 of the declaration), and I believe this would state that Thomas Olsson and Lawrence Stephen were also elected. Each district appears to have had at least three seats, and currently only 25 of the 27 elected members are listed. Cheers, Number5721:04, 25 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Number 57 Hello. I also noticed the missing members, but without any clue as to who they are, I didn't feel qualified to guess. I'm not so sure it can be easily assumed Thomas Olsson and Lawrence Stephen are the missing constitutional delegates. They do have the second and third most first preference votes, but first preference votes don't seem to be everything. If you look in the Boe District, Alexander Deiye was elected despite getting 6 first preference votes in an election where another candidate got 11. That district isn't the only one like that if I recall correctly. I think this election was before the inception of the Dowdall system, so I don't know what system they're using, and that could effect who the winners were. It would be safe to be a "This list is incomplete" warning on this page I guess.
It is unfortunate, every other Nauru Government Gazette I've ever seen has been perfectly clear and legible. This one seems to be the only source for these elections results, and yet it is impossible to read certain portions. It's frustrating. RoundSquare (talk) 02:56, 26 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
