In 5678 (1917 CE), Finland granted the Jews equal rights.
In 5705 (1944 CE), over a thousand Jews were rescued from the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp through the efforts of Rudolf Kastner. Since the Satmar Rebbe Yoel Teitelbaum was among the rescued, Satmar hasidim celebrate 21 Kislev as a holiday.
