Vietnamese writing practice is a course taught at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Social Sciences and Humanities.[1]
Purpose
[edit]Learners are equipped with the knowledge and practical skills to draft various types of common Vietnamese documents; they also develop their reading and writing skills in Vietnamese, adhering to both linguistic and stylistic standards. Additionally, learners are provided with methods to present information in a logical and coherent manner, primarily in written form.
Proficiency in standard Vietnamese is a prerequisite for university students and is essential in all professional fields. Through this course, students will develop a greater awareness of preserving the identity and purity of the Vietnamese language. The course also helps students cultivate a deep appreciation and love for the Vietnamese language, thereby fostering a conscious and effective use of standard Vietnamese.[2]
Structure

- Chapter 1: Overview of the Vietnamese language.
- Chapter 2: Developing spelling skills.
- Chapter 3: Developing vocabulary skills.
- Chapter 4: Developing sentence structure skills.
- Chapter 5: Developing skills in creating and comprehending written texts.
- Chapter 6: Skills in drafting official and administrative documents.
