- Comment: The Guardian source doesn't mention Tobias Dray? Spotify is not an independent source, passing mentions and listings are not the significant coverage required to pass the criteria. Theroadislong (talk) 18:46, 4 July 2024 (UTC)
- Comment: not clear how they would pass WP:NSINGER? Theroadislong (talk) 17:01, 4 July 2024 (UTC)
- Comment: Unless "His artistic evolution is marked by an unpredictable trajectory, making it impossible to predict what he will explore next." is a quote it is inappropriate tone for an encyclopaedia. Theroadislong (talk) 16:33, 4 July 2024 (UTC)
- Comment: Additional references from independent and reliable sources are essential to demonstrate notability per WP:MUSICBIO or WP:GNG. Hitro talk 12:34, 4 July 2024 (UTC)
Tobias Dray[1] is a French born singer-songwriter, composer and instrumentalist. [2][3] His music consistently explores a diverse range of styles, including hip hop, pop-rock, electronic, and bossa nova.[4]
Career
[edit]Tobias Dray began his music career as a composer and producer, initially creating music for other artists, including Tayc.[5] In 2018, he released his first major project, an EP titled Silent Faces, which featured collaborations with South Korean artists such as Palo Alto, REDDY, and JUNNY.[6][7]
In 2020, Tobias signed a deal with Nettwerk Records and released two projects under their label[8]. However, the attention he garnered on TikTok led him to pursue an independent route for future releases. In 2021, Tobias created a TikTok account to promote his music and branding, which has amassed over 2 million followers.[9] Leveraging this established fanbase, Tobias independently released "HMU" in November 2021, marking his first single featuring his own vocals.
On May 2024, Tobias announced that he is working on his debut album in collaboration with Japanese mangaka Akeji Fujimura. This project is set to be the first music album paired with a one-shot manga, with a planned release at the end of 2024.[10][11]
