Draft:Preetinanda Routray

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
  • Comment: Now completely unreferenced; this seems to be regressing.
After no fewer than eight (!) previous declines, there is still not the slightest evidence of notability. To avoid further reviewer time being expended on this draft, I am now rejecting rather than merely declining this. DoubleGrazing (talk) 06:21, 3 December 2024 (UTC)
  • Comment: Fails WP:MUSICBIO - Wikipedia and IMDb are not acceptable or reliable sources. Dan arndt (talk) 06:12, 3 December 2024 (UTC)
  • Comment: And again. If this is resubmitted again without any sources that actually verify the claims and show notability, this draft will probably be rejected with no option to resubmit. bonadea contributions talk 18:28, 2 December 2024 (UTC)
  • Comment: IMDb is not a reliable source. Theroadislong (talk) 16:11, 2 December 2024 (UTC)
  • Comment: Don't add sources that do not verify the content! Nothing is in fact verified – the sources that are there don't support the claims in the draft. (And the source Olstein 2008 is utterly baffling – it isn't even tangentially related). bonadea contributions talk 15:39, 2 December 2024 (UTC)
  • Comment: The reason there are sources in Wikipedia articles is that the reader should be able to verify the information. Sources are not placed randomly in a text, but after the sentence or paragraph that contains the information that comes from a particular source. In this draft, three of the four sources are about her political career (they don't mention her singing at all!), but they are placed at the end of the introduction. None of the information in the introduction, Early life, or Singing career is sourced.
The fourth source is a list of winners of the Odisha State Film Awards. This draft claims that she won the award for Best playback singer in 1995, 1996, and 1998. The source does not support that – it lists no such award for 1995 and 1996, and the winner of the Best playback singer (female) in 1998, according to the source, was Gita Das. The 2002 winner of Best playback singer (female) is listed as Priti Nanda. Is that her? Please provide better sources, and don't include any information that cannot be verified in a reliable source. bonadea contributions talk 17:27, 29 November 2024 (UTC)
