Isomangiferin is a member of the class of xanthones, and is among the group Asplenium hybrids.

[edit]Isomangiferin is produced only by Asplenium montanum and its hybrid descendants and has a close relationship with mangiferin.
History.
[edit]Isomangiferin was first isolated in 1908 as a coloring matter from the mango tree (Mangiferin indica L., Anacardisaceae).
