  • Comment: The OP has removed primary and unreliable sources upon my instructions. And I myself have cleaned up the promo bits and copy edited the article. Also trimmed some references. I've put some of them in the talk page. IMO the company might meet borderline notability but I'll leave that to someone else to review. @Fintechfraser: you may resubmit the draft now and someone else will review it. Regards. • Comment: Thank you for your WP:COI declaration. However, the framing of the submission is still promotional and not suitable as is. See also WP:SOLUTION. Greenman (talk) 21:12, 26 April 2024 (UTC)

Lyfeguard Limited is a UK-based financial technology company founded in 2021.[1] It develops software for personal information management, offering features such as secure storage, financial organization, and sharing capabilities. The company's software caters to both individual consumers and professionals in various financial sectors, including wealth management, mortgage brokerage, insurance, and legal services.[2][3]

History

[edit]

Initially operating under the name My Halo Life Limited, the company rebranded as Lyfeguard Limited in July 2022 after securing £260,000 in pre-seed funding.[4][5] The company launched its services to the public in February 2023.[6]

Since its launch, Lyfeguard has established partnerships with various service providers, including Farewill, Hometree, and ManyPets.[7][8] In October 2023, Lyfeguard integrated open banking and open finance functionality through a partnership with Moneyhub and was subsequently registered as an agent of Moneyhub by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).[9][10] Lyfeguard has obtained Cyber Essentials and ISO 27001 certifications.[11]

In March 2024, Lyfeguard partnered with Adviser Services Holdings Limited (ASHL).[12]

In August 2024, Fraser Stewart publicly expressed concerns about the UK government's decision to shelve £1.3 billion of funding for AI and compute projects, highlighting potential implications for the UK's technology ambitions.[13][14][15]

Software

[edit]

Lyfeguard's software is delivered through a web application accessible via subscription. The company offers products for two main customer segments: financial services professionals and individual consumers.

Financial Services

[edit]

Lyfeguard provides tools for managing client relationships and practice workflows.[16][17] These include customer relationship management (CRM) systems, secure client portals, and features for integrating financial data, generating reports, and facilitating collaboration.[18][19] Lyfeguard is a member of the Consumer Duty Alliance, a not-for-profit organization supporting the adoption of the Financial Conduct Authority's Consumer Duty regulations.[20]

Lyfeguard's advisory board includes individuals with experience in the financial services industry, including Keith MacDonald, former Head of Wealth Management at EY, and Geoff Towers, CEO of GPP and formerly at Aviva.[21][22]

Consumers

[edit]

Lyfeguard offers a freemium subscription service, for managing personal information. The basic tier provides access to core features, while the premium tier, Lyfeguard Pro, offers additional functionalities.[23]
