Donald Trump is a recurring fictionalized characterization of current president-elect of the United States of the same name who has appeared in the satirical online newspaper The Onion since 2012.
History
[edit]The character made its first appearance in the 2012 article "Donald Trump Stares Forlornly at Tiny, Aged Penis in Mirror Before Putting On Clothes, Beginning Day".[1]
In 2013, The Onion would publish an article titled "When You're Feeling Low, Just Remember I'll Be Dead in About 15 or 20 Years." featuring the Donald Trump character. In response to this, lawyer Michael Cohen would demand the removal of the article and an apology from The Onion on Trump's behalf.[1][2]
In 2017, The Onion would release 700 pages of fictional, satirical Trump-related documents.[1][3]
