Combat Training Detachment 1 (Det 1) is the sole Cyber Combat Training Detachment of the United States Space Force responsible for providing Weapon System, Position Specific Training to Guardians.[1]
The Detachment was originally responsible for standing-up the Space Force’s Cyber Combat Course (C3), a 15-week self paced course, before it transition to the 533rd Training Squadron under Space Training and Readiness Command on 1 July 2024. The course utilizes a two-phased teaching approach, focusing on red and blue cyber tactics. Each phase ends with a capstone project and an industry-level certification.[2]
