Death clock calculator is a fictional calculator which has been conceptualized by scholars during different eras and the concept of death clock has evolved from time to time in the global context for several years and it is designed with some underlying assumptions by taking into calculation about the average life expectancy of each individuals living in different countries and also takes into calculation about demographic factors such as gender.[1]

Different websites have been developed to this date to calculate the estimated date of deaths and the websites have also been prepared in the way to divulge information about the expected date of deaths upon the queries filled in by the users. Although, death clock calculator is not used in practical scenarios, there are myths and beliefs about the prevalence of a death clock calculator. According to astrolgers and people with religious beliefs, insists that death clock calculator is designed by the acts of God and the death of every individuals have already been calculated by the acts of God. The main objective and motive of the concept behind death clock calculator is to promote life expectancy, prevent suicide and to encourage people to follow health hygiene precautionary measures in order to foster longevity.

In December 2023, an Artificial Intelligence technology induced calculator named Life2vec was introduced by a joint collaboration of the US and Danish scientists. The introduction of the AI-powered death calculator eventually raised eyebrows owing to the concerns pertaining to the authenticity along with the concerns related to the extent of factual accuracy that it could disseminate for the users for their informed decision making.[2] Since the unveiling of Life2vec calculator, several copycat calculators with Artificial Intelligence have been launched by scammers.[3][4][5]
