This category requires additional clean-up. The list includes many synthesizers and ROMplers/sample playback devices, which are distinctly different from samplers (tools created to digitise and/or store incoming audio signals, manipulate them, and allow /direct/ playback of the sound for musical purposes - i.e. NOT simply digital audio editors). I have removed the Creative Wave Blaster and Roland Sound Canvas links, as they are both ROMplers/General MIDI devices making use of sample-based synthesis for playback only and which crucially omit the first two stages specific to sampler functionality.

I also agree with the above, and was surprised to see both the Roland U-20 and the D-50 there, i have owned both these instruments and none of them samplers in any way, they are, as the previous comment says, ROMplers and should be categorised as such.Ijustwannabeawinner (talk) 10:36, 3 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
