If a quality rating is not assigned, the article will be filed in Category:Unassessed Japan-related articles. The class should be assigned according to the grading scheme. Articles needing to be assessed (or reassessed) can be listed and discussed at Wikipedia:WikiProject Japan/Assessment.

Importance or priority

If an importance/priority rating is not assigned, the article will be filed in Category:Unknown-importance Japan-related articles.
