The 1818 North Carolina gubernatorial election was held on 24 November 1818 in order to elect the governor of North Carolina. Incumbent Democratic-Republican governor John Branch was re-elected by the North Carolina General Assembly as he ran unopposed.[1]
General election
[edit]On election day, 24 November 1818, incumbent Democratic-Republican governor John Branch was re-elected by the North Carolina General Assembly, thereby retaining Democratic-Republican control over the office of governor. Branch was sworn in for his second term on 5 December 1818.[2]
